On the afternoon of April 8th, the opening ceremony of the 25th Campus Culture Festival and the Spring Flash Mob event at Shanghai University of Finance and Economics (SUFE) was held at the basketball court in front of the New Gymnasium.

Attending the event were Vice Party Secretary Zhou Guoliang, heads of the Student Affairs Department/Graduate Student Affairs Department, the Student Affairs Office, the Admissions and Employment Office, and the Communist Youth League Committee, as well as deputy secretaries of the Party committees (general branches) from various schools (departments, institutes), and over 200 students from 18 schools across the university.

Vice Party Secretary Zhou Guoliang delivered a speech. He began by extending sincere congratulations on behalf of the university’s Party committee to all students who are learning and growing in the healthy, positive, and uplifting campus cultural atmosphere. He also expressed heartfelt gratitude to all faculty and students involved in organizing the Campus Culture Festival. Against the backdrop of an era filled with opportunities and challenges, he shared his expectations for the students. He emphasized that students of finance and economics should not only master traditional core skills such as accounting and finance but also proactively learn and embrace cutting-edge technologies, actively explore, and acquire hard skills in the tide of serving the "Digital China" initiative. Additionally, he encouraged students to actively participate in the various activities of the Campus Culture Festival, allowing the Kuangshi campus culture to remain fresh and vibrant through inheritance. He hoped that students would actively contribute ideas for campus cultural development, inject lasting vitality into the university’s growth with their youthful wisdom, and jointly write SUFE’s story for the new era.

He Weiwei, Secretary of the University’s Communist Youth League Committee, introduced the Campus Culture Festival. This year’s festival, jointly organized by the University’s Communist Youth League Committee, the Student Union, the Graduate Student Union, school student councils, and student organizations, covers six themes: ideological and political guidance, academic culture, sports competition, artistic creation, labor practice, and digital leadership. From April 8th to May 20th, 100 diverse activities will be held. Against the backdrop of the deep integration of the digital economy with social life, a special "Digital Leadership" section has been added this year, focusing on cutting-edge fields such as AI algorithms and big data analysis. This initiative aims to build a professional digital technology practice platform, enhance SUFE students’ technological literacy, and stimulate innovative vitality.

Vice Party Secretary Zhou Guoliang declared the 25th Campus Culture Festival of Shanghai University of Finance and Economics open.

Amidst the songs of the Top Ten Campus Singers, the first activity of the Campus Culture Festival—the Spring Flash Mob—kicked off, as students embarked on a vibrant and creative spring journey with anticipation. The Spring Flash Mob featured 35 activity stations, including 4 Student Union stations, 14 school stations, 16 student organization stations, and 1 ethnic culture display station.

At the Student Union stations, students not only enjoyed captivating performances by the art troupe but also lingered over the innovative cultural and creative works displayed at the booths. The 14 school stations showcased unique characteristics and spirits through interactive activities. The 16 student organization stations welcomed visitors, highlighting the richness and diversity of SUFE’s student groups. Meanwhile, the ethnic culture display station garnered enthusiastic attention with its colorful ethnic cultural experiences.

Wandering through the fascinating activities, students not only enjoyed a spectacular audio-visual feast but also deepened their understanding and appreciation of diverse cultures through personal interaction. This experience strengthened their cultural identity with SUFE’s inclusive and integrative spirit. It is hoped that SUFE students will continue to unlock more wonders in this Campus Culture Festival, explore knowledge freely, draw nourishment from the fertile soil of culture, and encounter a better version of themselves.
