On February 21st, Shanghai University of Finance and Economics (SUFE) welcomed 86 international students from 34 countries. These students will spend a study period of six months to one year at SUFE.
Though the spring chill still lingers and the air outside is cool, the enthusiasm of the new students is undiminished. Carrying their hopes for the future and their aspirations for campus life, they arrived early at the university to embark on a new journey. The International Cultural Exchange College coordinated closely across departments to meticulously plan the registration process, aiming for efficiency and convenience while continuously improving service quality. Attention to detail highlighted the care for the students, solidifying the foundation for a successful welcome. International student volunteers also actively participated, contributing their enthusiasm to the registration process.

SPRING SEMESTER

The college prepared a welcome package for the new students. SUFE notebooks, university-branded T-shirts, and canvas bags—these meaningful souvenirs conveyed the warmth of the SUFE community to the international students. In addition, the college provided each new student with a WiFi guide, a hand-drawn campus map, a schedule of significant events for the spring semester, and an orientation schedule to help them better adapt to campus life. The day before registration, international student volunteers had already begun preparing the welcome packages for the new students.

On the day of registration, the process was well-organized and progressed smoothly. The college also organized campus tours for the new students, with teachers and volunteers guiding them to become familiar with the campus.

As we begin this new year, we sincerely hope that every international student will use their time at SUFE to understand, explore, and experience China. We hope they will absorb knowledge and broaden their horizons within the academic environment of SUFE, moving towards their dreams and goals.
