For 2026 admission cycle, the application documents in hard copies are not required. Please scan and upload them in the Upload Materials section of the Applicant Portal. This is the most efficient and direct method of submitting these materials, because they will be added directly to your official application.
All the applicants must complete the application form along with the required supplements. You will need to scan and submit:
1. Photo |
Please use the photo taken within the last 6 months. The head in the photograph must be facing the camera straight on, and the face may not be obscured. The photo itself must be in color, but the background needs to be white or blue. Head coverings are prohibited.
2. Passport identification page |
Your passport should be valid beyond January 31, 2027.
3. Bachelor degree certificate |
If you are in the final year, please upload a certificate indicating the entry and the expected completion date.
4. Bachelor academic transcript |
You need to apply with academic transcript for all the courses taken from bachelor year one. It would be appreciated that the transcript is attached with a clarification on the grading system and how your GPA is calculated.
5. Language proficiency certificate |
If your intended major is taught in Chinese, please apply with HSK certificate or certificate of your bachelor's degree being obtained through a Chinese curriculum;applicants of English-taught programs should present TOEFL iBT 80 / IELTS (academic) 6.5 (overall) certification or your undergraduate study is an English-taught program.
Please note: HSK, TOEFL, IELTS result is valid for two years from the date of the test.
6. Personal statement |
It should be written in the instrcutional language of your intended program, 800-1000 words including the applicant's education (and working experience, if applicable), study plan, etc. and enclosed with the applicant's signature.
7. Two reference letters |
The letters should come from professors/associate professors, be recent, dated, in English/Chinese, and with referee's contact details (employer, position, email, phone number). If you cannot upload the letter by yourself, please use an explanation letter and ask the referee(s) to send the letter to ices@sufe.edu.cn before the application deadline.
8. Police Clearance Certificate |
A Police Clearance Certificate, known in other names such as Police Certificate, Criminal History Record Check, certifying that the applicant has never partaken in any criminal activity that led to the involvement of the police force. Please go to your local police authority where you reside, request that the police conduct a local or state criminal records search and provide you with a document reflecting that there is no history of a criminal record. The Police Clearance Certificate should be dated within the last 6 months. If you are unable to maintain such a document due to unforeseen circumstances, please contact Admission Office as early as possible for alternative documentation.
9. Guarantee of Financial Support |
Your program application will not be processed without a funding documentation.
Your personal sponsor should be able to provide full financial support for your educational and living expenses for the entire length of study at SUFE. Ask your personal sponsor to complete the appropriate sections of the form Guarantee of Financial Support and provide a scanned copy of his/her passport, or ID card of the sponsor is of Chinese nationality. The form you submit must:
Provide correct and complete information
Include with the signature of the sponsor, and
Be written in English or Chinese
10. Foreigner's Physical Examination Report |
(required for those planning to apply for scholarship)
The physical examinations must cover all the items listed in the "Foreigner Physical Examination Form". The form you submit must:
Include with the signature of the attending physicians
Include with the official stamp of the hospital
Include with a sealed photograph of the applicant
Be written in English, and
Be dated within the last 6 months.
Please keep the original reports with you for later use when you register at the University.

Please note:
* Certified English/Chinese translations are required if the original documents are neither in English nor in Chinese.
* The Admission Office will look for evidence for predicted qualification is realistic.
* If you are admitted, you must be able to produce the original copy of the uploaded document for verification upon request during the matriculation in September 2026. If any falsehood is found, SUFE reserves the right to revoke admission.
