On the afternoon of 18 September, the first large-scale comprehensive job fair for the 2027 autumn graduating class of Shanghai University of Finance and Economics (SUFE) was held on the basketball court of the Guoding Road Campus. The event attracted over 2,500 students. As the 'opening success' of the university’s autumn campus recruitment season, the job fair not only marked the full launch of the new year’s employment work, but also built a fast track to high-quality employment for graduates through resource integration and innovative approaches.

The job fair advanced both finance-specific recruitment and comprehensive industry recruitment in parallel, achieving deep aggregation of high-quality job opportunities. The atmosphere at the event was lively and bustling with attendees. According to statistics, more than 230 quality employers participated in the job fair, offering over 10,000 positions. The 'Golden Recruitment Hub' section, as a key bridge connecting SUFE with the financial industry and deepening school-enterprise collaboration, continued its core positioning of 'showcasing the achievements of financial enterprises and gathering talents from around the world'. It comprehensively covered various segments of the financial sector, including banking, securities, futures, funds, and insurance, accurately matching the talent cultivation direction of the university’s finance programmes. Meanwhile, the 'Lujiazui Top University Direct Recruitment' section focused on key institutions in the Lujiazui Financial and Trade Zone, selectively introducing a number of regionally influential financial institutions and professional service companies. This further strengthened the job fair’s talent connection function with the core carrier area of Shanghai’s international financial centre, establishing an efficient channel for graduates to enter the Lujiazui financial ecosystem. The comprehensive recruitment section broadly engaged quality enterprises from a wide range of industries, including real estate and construction, artificial intelligence, logistics and commerce, and education. It formed a job supply system that 'takes finance as the core and promotes multiple sectors', which not only accurately met the talent demands of Shanghai’s international financial centre construction, but also provided students of diverse academic backgrounds with multi-faceted, high-level options, fully ensuring that the 2027 graduating class of SUFE achieves fuller and higher-quality employment.

Judging by the list of participating employers, the job fair closely aligned with national development strategies and the construction needs of Shanghai’s international financial centre. In the finance section, the Shanghai branches of major state-owned banks such as Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, Agricultural Bank of China, and Bank of Communications were all present. Leading securities firms including CITIC Securities, Guotai Junan Securities, and Haitong Securities, as well as a number of well-known fund management companies, gathered together. At the same time, industry giants such as NIO, SAIC-GM, and Sinopharm Holding extended offers. Major central state-owned enterprises and local state-owned enterprises, such as China Construction Third Engineering Bureau and China Resources Land, along with well-known internet companies like Pinduoduo and Bilibili, also actively participated, demonstrating the market’s broad recognition of SUFE students.

At the recruitment fair, Zhou Guoliang, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Committee of SUFE, and his team visited each booth to inquire in detail about the recruitment needs of enterprises and the job-seeking intentions of graduates. He encouraged students to understand the situation clearly, identify their positions accurately, and integrate their personal aspirations with the broader national development. He also urged relevant departments to continue optimising employment services and to build a more efficient two-way selection platform for enterprises and graduates. Attending students noted that, as the first large-scale recruitment event of the autumn season, the number and quality of available positions today exceeded their expectations. Moving forward, Shanghai University of Finance and Economics will continue to uphold a 'student-centred' approach, deepen the development of the employment market, and promote high-quality and full employment for the 2027 cohort of graduates by organising more targeted recruitment activities segmented by industry and region.
